Why Ghana?

On September 3rd I will be leaving the country for a year to teach Mathematics in Ghana, West Africa on a Fulbright Scholarship. As many of you know I spent 3-4 weeks during the summers of 2006 and 2007 volunteer teaching in Ghana. I loved these experiences and especially after last summer, I felt that the time was too short and I wished I could have a whole class of students for a year.

Below is a link to a short video I made last summer (2007)while volunteering in Hohoe, Ghana with Cross Cultural Solutions. A good friend and co-volunteer and I arranged to take 25 students and teachers to see Lake Volta. Most had never seen water before let alone been on a boat or eaten in a restaurant. This is one of the reasons I wanted to go back.http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=258241dcc36b9057ee0699&skin_id=701&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=email
